Job Profile
As the successful Injection/Compression Mould Toolmaker, your primary function will be to carry out any work or duties delegated by the Engineering Manager or Toolroom Supervisor, to a high standard required of the business and on time.

Duties:

• Manufacture new injection compression mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost-effective manner
• Repair, modify and maintain existing production tooling.
• Operate all toolroom plant and machinery safely ensuring necessary protective clothing and equipment is always used
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the toolroom
• Suggest any possible improvements to tooling or processes, for assessment by Technical Projects Manager or Toolroom Supervisor
• Log completed tool maintenance and repair work using the systems and databases provided
• Ensure correct marking and labelling of tools
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements in productivity and efficiency, part of the continual improvement program (CIP)
• Good housekeeping (5S) – ensure that the factory and surrounding areas are kept tidy and within health and safety guidelines

Skills & Attributes:

• Qualified injection/compression mould tool toolmaker (5 years preferred)
• Apprentice trained toolmaker
• CNC and Manual machining experience
• Cad/Cam Solidworks/SolidCam experience would be an advantage but not essential as training can be provided
• Spark Eroding experience would be an advantage but not essential

Hours of Work:

• 40hrs per week
• 07:45 to 16:00, Monday to Thursday
• 07:45 to 14:45, Friday
• Overtime Rate x 1.5
